CC Insights and Analytics – Belcorp - Job Description: CIR HOB ANALYST

This is a critical role within the CIR Strategic team at Belcorp and works directly with the Belcorp CIR Advance Analytics Director and the Multifunctional team to drive our efforts to maximize the learnings and insights behind the Household panel data and other sources for LATAM, focusing on developing actionable insights to growth the business and identify opportunities in the market for Belcorp Brands.

The consumer information of Household Panel, Euromonitor, internal data sales and other sources of information allows us to identify new ways to strength our business and the position of our brands in different markets, make us more efficient in our brand strategies and tactical sales decisions, identifying the best ways to optimize the positioning of our brands in different categories and markets, and grow our business, generating valuable information that allow us to take the best decisions in the business. This person is expected to be an expert in harnessing the power of data & insights to drive business impact in different markets by shaping decision making across the organization and should demonstrate a good mix of deep strategic analytics & execution.

The position reports into the Manager of HOB (functional lead) and sits on the Belcorp Corporate team. Position has exposure to the multifunctional team, aiming to share and reapply best practices for insights discovery and activation.

Key responsibilities

  1. Support the Belcorp Brands and Country teams to build an Insights-led, Consumer Data-Driven culture across our brands, competitors and markets while leveraging Data Strategy, achieving measurable performance improvement and bring good-to-great initiatives to the market and the brand strategy
  2. Make consumer knowledge the main decision-making tool in the company. Developing not only market information but also contributing to successful decision making. That they are reflected in the success of our brands and sales in the different geographies in LATAM
  3. Work with internal and external teams/suppliers to create a reliable and robust consumer information system that allows the identification of strengths and opportunities in our brands and those of the competition for the development of our business
  4. Add value to the business with a holistic and deep understanding of the different sources of consumer and market information to identify business opportunities that enhance our competitive position.

 

Qualifications (must haves in BOLD)

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s Degree or additional education with an emphasis in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering and related fields is preferred.
  • 1+ years of progressive experience in managing, understanding, and analyzing Household Panel data and other sources of consumer information to gather actionable insights to the business.
  • Experience managing market research vendors for primary and secondary research. Role requires experience working with syndicated sources of data (GfK, Nielsen, Kantar, Euromonitor, amongst others) to influence Marketing and Brands and working closely with cross-functional teams - Marketing, Brands, Commercial teams.
  • Candidate must have experience managing Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
  • Ideally (NOT A MUST), the candidate handles and has knowledge of: a) Visualization/Data management (Tableau, Qlik, Microstrategy), b) Digital/Social Metrics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, social platforms), c) Data cleaning, query/discovery and deep analytic tools (Alteryx, BigQuery, SQL, Python/R, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous problems or issues and communicate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely.
  • Willingness to “have an opinion” backed up by insight and the confidence to influence key stakeholders in meetings and one to one basis.
